Are baitcasting reels used for boats, or land?

I know you can use them for either.......I was going to buy a baitcasting reel, and i fish off land. No boats, would it be a good idea?|||I prefer my bait caster for all my fishing.


I do use the spin cast models also.


Of course bait casters take some time to get used too.


I have 1 that I always use and 1 that I can't stand to use.


So, they all have a different feel to them when casting and retrieving.





I love the Bantam Pro Mag 100Xsg by Shimano.


I hate the Bantam B Mag 1000 by Shimano.


I loved the first one so much I bought the other model from Shimano. They are not even close to each other in performance and feel as I thought they might be.
