i heard that bayliners are good boats for lakes but not blue water. the type of boat i'd like is a twin engine cabin crusier.|||there are many good boats available, so many its not really feasable to pick just one.the boating industry has rigid standards that the boat builders that are reliable will adhere to. some exceed those standards such as searay.of major concern are the engines. these can be of much greater concern than the hull. if used in saltwater be very wary of rust and corrosion especially in the cooling system. also if outdrive type, rust and corrosion.before buying any used boat ,hire a boat surveyor. you will be glad you did.|||Anything that you wanna know about used stuff?
Talk to my ex-wife. She's been used so many times?........... Oh, never mind!|||http://www.ehow.com/how_6684_buy-used-bo鈥?/a>|||I've been in a couple Bayliners on saltwater fishing charters, one was a twin gas engine and the other a large single deisel. They seemed fine to me but that is pretty limited experience. I find boats that float a large percentage of the time are the best kind to buy. They're like cars, most really are good if taken care of properly. The average boater will tell you the kind he owns is the best. A boat by definition is "a hole in the water you pour money in". Good Luck and happy boating.|||Do what I did. Join a boater web group. I joined boatered.com. That group is a good resource for me.|||Have you seen Chris Craft used boats?
Looks good to me.
