Fishing, Water skiing, Transportation, Wake boarding, Tubing, Exploration, Diving, Fire fighting, Swimming, Police patrol, Sailing, Racing, etc. But most boats are used by people who just enjoy being on the water. A few people I know seem to use their boats as a floating patio, so I guess the real answer to your question, is within practical limits, what the owner wants it to do.
