Sell them with the antenna. That way it is a complete package. You can hook it up to 12 volts and show that it works also. Try listing them on craigslist under boats. I have sold many marine items there. Good luck!Would it be better to sell a marine radio with or without the boat antenea? how to sell used radio?
you may have better luck selling them separately as antennas tend to be specific to the boat but almost any radio will fit any boat.Would it be better to sell a marine radio with or without the boat antenea? how to sell used radio?
With!
Do you have the ENTIRE antenna, including the BALL MOUNT or do you just have the 8 foot long whip and nothing more. If you have the MOUNT too, then you can sell the COMPLETE antenna for about $10 at a flea market. Marine antennas tend to DE LAMINATE after a few years and internally they get a bit flakey so there aren't really worth that much. As for the radios, a NEW one is only about $100 and will have all the digital location features, so an OLD USED BOAT RADIO would bring MAYBE $10 at a flea market because anyone who knows anything at all about boats knows that boat radios are only good for about 3 or 4 years because of corrosion. If you try to sell them at a flea market.. $15 to $20 would be a good price to ask for a Radio/Antenna combination. Personally, I would NEVER buy a used radio or antenna because when you need a radio on the water, IT'S USUALLY IMPORTANT.. and I want something that I can rely on

You DO KNOW that you can't LEGALLY use a marine radio on DRY LAND.. right? It's not CB and the FCC and Cost Guard gets really excited when someone tries to use a marine radio at home. It can cost you up to a $5000 FINE and 5 YEARS IN JAIL.. type of serious. The DRUG RUNNERS use marine radios on the highway when they are making their runs, so when the FCC ENFORCEMENT people pick p a marine radio being used on land, they automatically assume it's a DRUG RUNNER and act accordingly.. you do know that... Right?
