what is preffered and why? the type of drive ie inboard, outboard or stern drive and 2 or 4 stroke??? reasons for this?|||Fibreglass with epoxy resin. Epoxy is alot more expensive than polyester resin, but it will not have osmosis problems.

nboard, Yanmar diesel. Have thrown out the Volvo penta that came with our boat due to expensive parts and many problems. The Yanmar is now in its 10th year and still going strong.
Outboard, 4 stroke. Quiet and efficient. A little more green friendly than the 2 stroke. Very reliable if well maintained.|||You haven't given enough information to get a good answer. What is the boat for? are you going to trailer it? How big will it be? How much money do you want to spend? How fast do you want to go? See what I mean? This line of questioning could go quite a bit further.
