I used West Systems epoxy to attach them to Boston Whalers. I would use West Systems Six 10 epoxy in a tube if I was doing it today. That is in addition to screwing them in every couple of feet. Ive affixed neopreme rubber to an epoxy coated steel structure on my ship. This is for chafing (rubbing) gear on a boat davit. This is a high impact, frequently abraided site. The product I used was called "Marine Goop" I have used in on two different ships and the stuff is holding after 5 years. When I applied it, I ensured the temperature range was within the manufacturers instructions and I clamped it along its entire length while the glue dried. You'll need a mechanical fastener, too- screws or bolts. I use 3M's 5200, but that stuff is no joke- it takes an act of God to get it off once it bonds.What glue can be used for attaching a rubber fender to a wooden boats gunnels?
I would recommend a marine epoxy.
