How come when people are selling their boats, they always say the porta-potty was never used?

I find that so hard to believe. Do they lie...or do most people take their dumps in the water? How come when people are selling their boats, they always say the porta-potty was never used?
WOW... I never really thought of it... but you are absolutely right. It's kinda like all those fruitcakes at Christmas... everyone seems to either give them or get them - but no one seems to ever eat them...

Now, I don't have a "porta-potty" on my boat... I have a full size Marine head that both flushes and incinerates... but, before that, I had a regular marine head, and the problem was the "smell"...

and quite frankly, (unlike the other guy) if a porta potty is all I had, I would sure use it, before I would jump in the same water and tread water with it...

But, porta-potties are cheap... if I had one of those smelly things on a boat I was trying to sell, I would certainly toss it, and put in a new one for the prospective buyer... so, maybe, it hasn't been used after all.

probably both. How come when people are selling their boats, they always say the porta-potty was never used?
If you have ever tried to use one in a boat --you will soon just jump over board and let fly. The porta pottie was designed much like the reserve in a parachute-- things have to be pretty bad before you go there.
Once using 1 U would see Y they don't use them. U have to carry them home and dump them out and then clean them. Most time there so nasty they throw them away and put a new 1 in.How come when people are selling their boats, they always say the porta-potty was never used?
Maybe they are telling the truth, would you want to be emptying them?, I have a sea toilet, even that's a pain, cant wait to change it to a normal size toilet
