never seen any V8s in a tractor and I work on them for a living. but Chevy is the preferred engine for most boat builders. so I'd have to say quite a few.How many boats and tractors used chevy small block v8's?
Quite a few boats used the 350 as well as the Ford 302. Correct Craft used both of those. Another marine application was the Chevy 150 4 cylinder. That was a strong running little engine.



In a tractor, the engine is really part of the frame. An automotive engine would be too difficult to adapt, and also wouldn't be strong enough. Modified pulling tractors do use automotive V8's, but usually 3 or more! Those aren't really tractors anymore though.
Tractors to my knowledge did not use the GM small blocks. OMC %26amp; Mercruiser have been using GM engines for at least 40+ years. As far as production numbers it's anyone's guess.
