Can boats be used as a home and place of business?

Or is there some ridiculous zoning law prohibiting that?|||i've known plenty of people who live on boats, as far as i know they use the address of there mooring just go down to your local marina there will be people living there, i've never heard of a boat being used for a business address though, you would have to speak to someone who does live on a boat, you could do business from the boat, but may need a separate address to register your business at, perhaps a p.o box|||They are not ridiculous zoning laws. We don't want people living at our docks! Contact your city permit office for the rules in your city.|||only the city where you live can tell you that.
